Welcome to The Hewlett. This is a Cheltenham-based enterprise consisting of, firstly, The Hewlett pub, bar and restaurant; and secondly, a high-class mobile catering service for parties, wedding receptions, celebrations and similar functions. The owner, Russ Manning lives in Cheltenham and has a long experience in the dining and entertainment industry.
Russ bought the long-established Hewlett Arms in late 2005 and immediately set about completely renovating it. This (and a name change to simply "The Hewlett") was finalised for opening in November 2005.
The new Hewlett soon acquired an excellent reputation for local, seasonal, cooked-to-order food from a menu that regularly changes, and there were increasing requests for Russ to provide the catering for outside events. By the middle of 2008, the demand for outside catering had become so great that it was decided to make this a major part of the business and place it on a formal basis.The Hewlett aims to provide a comfortable, friendly atmosphere in which adults can enjoy responsible drinking, partake of great food and relax.
It is great for a light lunch, a night out or just drinks. "Specials" are available through the week; Homemade Daily Tart Specials, Wednesday Rump Steak Night and a 2 course Sunday Roast for £10.
The Hewlett is open every day from 11:30am to 11:00pm.
